Medical Receptionist (mixture of morning/afternoon shifts on a constant rota)

We are looking for a confident, courteous and hard-working receptionist. You will work part-time (27 hours per week) as part of the reception team and gain an understanding of all front desk tasks which ensure the smooth running of a General Practice.

Key tasks will include (this is not exclusive):

- Dealing with telephone calls

- Responding to messages

- Booking appointments

- Test results

- Prescriptions

- Dealing with patients and relatives, both face to face and over the telephone

- Answering queries regarding patients

Normal hours of work will be a mixture of mornings and afternoons to be confirmed at a later stage.


Your initial hourly rate will be £8.91, rising to £9.50 after a successful probation period of 3 months.

When services are restored to its former state an occasional Saturday morning 08:30 - 11:00 am will also be required at an extra weekend rate (1.5x).
